Hello,

I have Macbook Air with OS X 10.7.
I just learned that OS X have Swap Space.

Is it the same as on Linux?
How to see how much is it and can I extend it, for let's say 16GB?

Thanks!

There is swap space in OS X and it is managed dynamically by the OS as needed. I don't believe there is a way or really any point in trying to set it to a fixed size.

You can see the swap file at the folder below. Just open Finder then click the Go menu then Go to Folder... then paste this path in.

Code:
/private/var/vm/

That's perfect, thanks alot! It's even better than Linux, since there you have to manually set a maximum swap. Now all I have to do is to buy SSD.
