High, I have a macbook I just bought, but decided to go with a refurbished and save some money.
My question is, could I just swap the hard drive of my current macbook (same model and spec) into the new (refurbished) one and have no problems at all?
Thanks.

this should not be a problem as long as it is truly a completely identical machine.

Yea, you can just swap it out. I would let the setup migrator do it though. That way you will be starting with a nice neat hdd with no fragments (scattered deleted spaces).

Thanks guys.
I dont think the hard drive is that fragmented, only a week old;)

I assume the serial number and stuff inside the system Profiler will update once the drive is in the new macbook right?

Ok great.
One last thing, I have a bootcamp partition.. The EFI loader wont have any issues here will it?
