I have a late 2009 13" MacBook (white plastic unibody). I recently removed the hard drive and put in a Crucial 256gb SSD. I then removed the optical drive and put the original hard disk drive there (500GB) using the OWC Data Doubler. All went well. Now my problem is whenever I try and delete something from the hard disk drive (the one where the optical drive used to be), it sends it to the trash, but then I can't empty it. It tries to empty, but just gets stuck. It also won't let me "put back" any item I deleted from the hard disk drive. The hard disk just keeps getting more and more full. It's like it has it's own trash bin but I can't seem to find a way to empty it. Any ideas?

Nevermind, silly me - I was deleting a large amount of data off of an external hard drive. The drive wasn't plugged in, so the trash couldn't empty because the files in the trash were on the external - duh!
