Hey everyone,
Just a quick question. I had previously bought the MBP early '11 2.3 Ghz system and was eligible for the upgrade since I bought a week before the update to late '11 model. I just reinstalled my Seagate Hybrid XT drive into the new 2.5Ghz system. Everything started up perfect and I am back up and running. I went to software update and found this:
MacBook Pro EFI Firmware Update version 2.3
The description says it fixes issues with stability on MacBook Pro (early 2011) systems but is this necessary? I just dont want to have to do another clean install of lion since I have all my software already loaded.
Anyone see a problem with the fact I swapped out the drives? I know I have a faster processor and different graphics card but wanted to make sure there would not be any issues down the line. Im almost positive there shouldnt be an issue with what I did but just wanted to double check with the experts.
Wasnt sure if these new MBPs were classified as Late 2011 models or not.
THoughts?
thanks in advance for reading and taking the time to reply!
