Has anyone with the newest MBP tried looking into how easy it is to change out hard drives? That is, similarly to the MB, where a simple battery removal and a latch removes the hard drive.

Post here if you could update everyone on that. Also, any 500+ GB hard drives of proper size out yet for the new MBP? (Anything 5400 RPM or higher). Prices would be nice. Thanks.

You could have easily found the answer yourself. iFixit has a take apart and even Apple puts their owner's manuals online.

Yeah, but I wanted to know more specifically if Apple constructed this method to work more like the MB (at least the earlier one). It seems a bit harder to swap hard drives this way...

Again, If you have looked at the iFixit guides, or the Apple Manual, it shows that you take out the battery and the HDD is right there to replace/exchange.

So, yes, it is as easy as the old Macbook to change out the HDD.

It took me all of 5 seconds to verify this info.

Oops, I'm sorry. I must have skimmed the iFixit guide and saw all the components being removed. XD

Solved. :)
