Swapping Sim between 12 and 12 Pro Max

I have a 12 Pro Max and wife has a 12. I am thinking about going to a 13 and trying a smaller phone.
How difficult is it or is it possible to use my wife’s phone with all my apps etc for a few days. Is it as easy as swapping SIM cards?

Only way to get your favorite apps on another iPhone is to download them from the App Store. They won't contain any saved data you might have on your phone.
And if they're paid apps / you'll have to buy them again unless the other phone is set up with your Apple ID.
