They're both Sprint iPhones but the carrier is Ting...

I don't have the 6 in my hands yet but it is a brand new factory replacement from Apple, never used and never activated (bought from Swappa) and no SIM card included.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I should be able to take my Ting SIM card from my 5S and put it into the 6 and everything should work like normal, right?

This would only be a problem if you had an iPhone 5 or 4s because the SIM cards for those models are different. The SIM card for the 5c/5s/6/6+ is interchangeable between those models but not with the 5 or 4s and vice versa.

I do that between two phones on ATT, I've not run into any issues - of course those two phones use the same sim form factor which is nice.
