Okay, I want to get the 3GS. Another person on my family plan is eligible for an upgrade. I am not because I purchased the 3G the day it came out last year. Is it possible for them to get the 3GS and then I just swap their SIM card with mine? They already have a perfectly fine phone that's not an iPhone, so can they just put the card back in that without having to use my old 3G? Thanks for any help!

Even if they don't want an iPhone? They want to use the phone they currently have. Will AT&T do this without giving me any problems?

Yes, I was told you could use the upgrade eligibility for one line to purchase the iPhone 3G S and then just activate the phone on your line and be good to go. This was from an AT&T Corporate Retail store manager.

Okay thanks. Also, will it be the same monthly price as the 3G if I keep the same texting plan? Or did they raise the price with the new phone?
