Will there be any effect if I swap the sim from a 5S T-Mobile and use it in my ATT 6+ and vice versa, just to see if I can actually use my 6+ with a different carrier, that being T-Mobile? Both iPhones are sim-free factory unlocked.

Also, my cousin is trying to figure out if he should upgrade to a 6 or 6+ and would like to use his sim from his 5S into my 6+ for the day to test things out.

One tip: when you put the AT&T sim back in, you'll likely need to re-enter your voicemail password.

Are the phones on different iCloud accounts? If so, turn off iMessage on both before swapping SIMs, otherwise you might have some iMessage issues for about a day afterwards. Then turn back on when all SIMs are in the phones they should be in.

If they're not he same iCloud account, then this step probably won't be necessary.

Thanks… both iPhones have their own individual apple i.d. account.
