Swapping sports band for diff color at store

if my local Apple Store only has a particular watch with a white sports band will they swap the band for a different color sports band at the store?

No. i tried to swap and they denied. You will have to buy it. I finally got one off of ebay for cheap

Unfortunately they won't do that. I used istocknow.com to find the exact watch I was looking for (space grey 42mm). It took 2 or 3 days to find one in stock, and it was kind of annoying checking a few times per day, but it worked.

Unfortunately not. If Apple did that for every customer, it would be chaos with inventory.

They do it if the watch you are looking for is sold by apple with the band you want to replace it with. Also, Apple has to have the band in stock at the store.
