Does anyone have sweat rash problems with the silicon strap on the apple watch, during very hot weather? It's driven me mad in the recent, admittedly rare, hot period of weather in the UK, So much that I had keep swapping from one wrist to another. Any Ideas?

I don’t have any problem like that with my silicone bands. But since you do, try one of the many other bands that Apple sells that aren’t silicone.

Yeh I suppose I'll have to but its only a problem in very hot weather, which we don't have to much of here in the UK.

I bought melanese strap. they look rich and comfortable to wear 23 hours (1 hour for bath and wash room).

I use one of the Nike versions, it has holes in it that helps with the sweat.

also they can get a bit dirty, without really looking like it. My arm will start to bother me when it gets dirty, a good wash of the band helps a lot.

there are also TONS of bands on amazon, most for under $10-15 (I'm assuming it's the same in the UK, and well under £15)

I have the same issue in hot weather, which comes around a lot here in Florida. I've been using a Sport Loop for months now and I absolutely love it. Comfortable, easy to put on and take off, and, imo, they look better than the regular Sport Band.

You could also try the Nike Sport Band, as a few people have suggested above.

The floroestamer bands trap moisture, which is the unfortunate side effect for your skin. What I also would suggest doing, is maybe loosening the band by one notch, thus allowing more air to freely breathe, that’s usually what I do, unless you have to have the watch snug for the heart rate sensor.

Just throwing out some ideas. Maybe some baby powder or talcum powder on hot days. Or, you could look for an antiperspirant that goes on clear and apply it around your wrist before putting on your watch.

I don’t wear the silicon band but I did get a rash under the watch a few years ago. Washing the watch regularly completely resolved this. I would try washing the band more frequently.

Yes. Happened with my Series One, both from the band and the small stainless dot closure. Frequent scrubbings of the band helped, but even better was swapping off to a different band material. Even from just the salt in the sweat I would see some signs of contact dermatitis after awhile, especially if I was doing yard work. The Sport Loop bands are way more comfortable and breathable. After about a year they do get beat up if they are your daily band of choice.

I am in southern California and it has been extremely hot here. I don't wear silicone bands as I find they do not breath. I only wear sports loops. I find them to be the most comfortable and I never find sweat behind them.

My wife gets them. I've purchased some other band styles for her to switch out so that this doesn't continue to be an issue.
