Hi there. Recently I started to use my watch S3 while I swim in the pool. And obviously I tried to use nike workout app. But there was one issue that I couldn't solve or understand. I just started to swim in the pool like a workout so I cannot swim whole pool at once. Even though when I'm at half of the pool my watch says I've been swimming for 200 meters (The pool is 50 m long ). And it says I swam different type of strokes which I know I didn't because I cannot :D . Is there any calibration to make this right or can I make it right?

Has anyone had that issue ?

Thanks in advance.

Have you tried using the native workout app instead of Nike? If so does it give you the same results? My watch shorts me a meter or two but I have never had anything like you are describing.

I've never used the Nike App, but I know in the native workout app it first asks you the length of the pool. I've never had an issue with accuracy of either the S2 or S3 detecting my strokes correctly. Laps and distance have been approximate because I think it tries to detect when you hit the wall to return. My pool at home is only about 10 yds in length so I think that adds to the inaccuracy of distance

I swim about twice a week in a 25 yard pool and have never had issues with accuracy. The only time I have issues is if I'm doing drills and the arm that my watch is on is moving, but this is to be expected. It has done a really good job of detecting my laps and my strokes as well as when I'm resting on the wall

Thanks for replies! I think my problem is I can't swim whole the pool at once so my strokes are kind of confusing for my watch. But lately it gives more accurate results based on my condition. I can swim mostly all the pool so it can measure the distance. I will keep paying attention to that if I have any other issues about this.

Thanks again!!

Echo the advice to use the native workout app. When I swim, which isn't often, it's usually for about a kilometer or two in a 10m pool, and the watch is surprisingly accurate.
