Since we can swipe down from the top of the screen for notifications. How about swiping up from the bottom for the multitasking bar?

I tried an app called CarTunes and while frankly I didn't find the app very useful it has a function to swipe up from the bottom for various options, which surprisingly works really well.

It would also ease up the wear of the home button.

On my jailbroken 3GS I've set it up to display the multitasking bar from an upwards swipe from the bottom. I much prefer it than the default way.

Then developers like CarTunes would be screwed wouldn't they?

The 4 finger swipe on iPad is nice, I've completely quit using home button on it, can't remember the last time.
