Switch AT&T main line

I am currently on a family plan with two lines (my line expires in a few days, however the second line doesn't expire for 16 more months). My parents want to get iPhones and join my family plan. However, my dad gets a 22% discount on phones and plans through his work. Is it possible to add my parents to my plan, and switch the main line to my dad to get his discount? Or would we not get the discount because I have the main line?
