Switch b/t ring & vibrate w/o side switch

Is there a way to easily switch between ring and vibrate on the iPhone 3GS without using the side switch? I carry my 3GS in a Otterbox Defender case which makes it impossible to get to the side switch without removing the case.

I used an Otterbox on my 3G and my daughter still uses it in one, and while I'll admit it is a little difficult, it isn't impossible. Takes a little dexterity and maybe a smaller finger, although mine aren't the smallest ones in the world. However, to answer your question, I do not know of any method to change it to vibrate without the switch.
