Switch carriers on 1 iPhone 4S

So my buddy is on Verizon and is not due for an upgrade till next year. His aunt on the other hand is on ATT and is eligible for an upgrade now. Seeing how the iPhone 4S is both GSM/CDMA capable, is it possible for her to get a an iPhone 4S activated when she gets her upgrade on ATT, then give it to my friend and have Verizon activate it?

No because the ATT version will be locked meaning it can only be used with ATT no matter what.

Except if you jailbreak/unlock which I doubt will be possible with the A5 processer.
