switch internal powermac superdrive?

i have a question for all of you out there. it might be a stupid one but i would like to know. i have a dual 2 ghz powermac with the 16x superdrive. would it be possible (in the future) to take out the old drive and install a new one? would it be possible with the blu ray drives or is the superdrive in the computer permanently? thanks for the help. and sorry if this has been posted before or anything...i did a forum search and couldnt find it. thanks!

I am pretty sure that the superdrive can be replaced-should accept any 5.25" drive.

It will accept any standard 5.25" drive as long as its Mac compatible, you should not have any problems, they have made it very easy to change out the drives.
