Hi All.

Just wanted to know if anyone has found a way to switch on or set restrictions
programmatically. here's the caveat without jail break.

Probably against apple regime but would be useful.

thanks
Ian

What do you mean restrictions?

You shouldn't be able to and if you could, don't. I'll punch you otherwise, Restrictions are for the end-user ONLY.

They are talking about the Restrictions in the General tab in Settings.

The OP wants the ability to override what the user has set. This could be disastrous as then an app could allow itself to use location services behind your back, or allow in app purchasing if you disabled it.

Uhmmm no..

Actually I want to turn on restrictions that the user sets.
or maybe add elements to it. So please don't punch me in the face...:p

but from the gist, I guess the answer is no.

What other restrictions are there besides what I described? Application DEFAULTS maybe?

Yes.

Yeah.. I just want to toggle on the setting ->General->restrictions.

Ultimately it would be nice to be able to set those restrictions within the app.
but I'd settle for turn on turn off restrictions set in:
setting ->General->restrictions.

thinking the answer is still an emphatic no! :(
thanks
