Okay so verizon upgrade eligibility blows. I was going to just pay the ETF and do it that way but my wife's line is the one next eligible for an upgrade (hence cheaper ETF) and she has had the same number since the 90s. ETF would effectively make her get a new number.
I can switch both lines over to AT&T and get iPhone 5s for both of us. I'd have to pay $420 in ETFs, I can get $360 for our phones right now, so I start off $60 in the red. The phones will set me back $400. The good news is my corporate discount gives me no activation fee with AT&T so I wouldn't have to pay that. So what do you think? Is $460 a good price to pay for what I am going to do? Has at&ts network gotten any better since the iPhone 3G days? My plan is to go wait in line at an AT&T store Friday morning after work if I decide to go this route. I'm torn though. I'd hate to be kicking myself later.
