Are you doing that on purpose?

This is a pretty standard story of Verizon vs competition in outlying and mountainous areas in the west. One of the primary reasons I stay with Verizon is because I can get reception pretty much anywhere I go in the US, and especially when I am out in the woods and mountainous areas during hunting seasons. Worse case, go up the ridge a bit and you get reception whereas with other carriers, you have a brick in your pocket.

Here you go AJ.

Verizon is the best up in this area.

I don't even know why AT&T and other GSM networks are even up here. AT&T is very poor up here, unless you are in town. The same with T-Mobile. Unless you are in town, your all set. But if you go up the hill - well then good luck.

Let me try to translate. :D

Verizon wireless is the best carrier in this area. I do not know why other wireless networks such as AT&T and other GSM carriers operate in this geographical locality.
AT&T and likewise T-Mobile's network coverage is very poor unless you are located within a densely populated area.
Then you will receive adequate wireless coverage. But if you relocate towards a natural elevation then you will need luck to receive acceptable wireless service.
