I'm trying to set up my personal iPhone wifi profile on my iPad so I can use the free Softbank wifi service that is available for iphone contracts here in japan. I could trick the system if I could connect to the Internet on my iPad as a 3G connection.
I need to get to https://i.sbwifi.jp/apps/ but you need to be on 3G/LTE in order to get there and set up the wifi profile. You can't even get there on a desktop.
If you go to the home URL via PC you can see the error message and requirement for a cellular connection. http://sbwifi.jp/apps
I could simply turn on my iphone's wifi hotspot tethering mode and I could surf using the iphone's 3G via my ipad's wifi. But since I would be turning on my wifi and connecting to the phone via wifi the site would know this and block me.
Is there some kind of jailbreak or workaround that would make my iPad look like it is using a 3G connection and not wifi connection?
Some kind of wifi -> 3G profile switcher?
There must be a file in the iOS that can be edited to reflect a profile that is different from the actual profile.
Do you think that site only checks the device profile or is it also checking the connection type?

一括設定はWi-Fi通信を「オフ」に切り替え、3G/4G LTE通信で設定をおこなってください。ホーム画面>設定>Wi-Fi>Wi-Fiを「オフ」に設定し再度アクセスしてください。
