Hello. So I just got an iPhone 12. I am switched from a Pixel XL with RCS messaging. I turned off advanced features in RCS messaging which allows for texting over wifi on my Pixel and removed SIM on Friday. Sunday, I sent my parents who have Pixel 3As, and a cousin with an Android also. I didn't receive replies. This Monday morning I went back to my old Pixel, turned on wifi, and suddenly my family members' replies to the texts that I sent on my iPhone, came in on the Pixel.

How do I get that to stop?

If this belongs in a different group or section, please let me know.

Here is a mistake I made in a similar situation. When I deactivated RCS on Pixel the SIM was already out and I wasnt on WiFi (🤯) , so it essentially never deactivated. I would go back to Pixel, ensure connectivity to internet, re-enable then disable.

This is exactly what I did initially, and what I have done since posting. Thank you.

If you're sure that iMessage is deactivated then I'm glad you've sorted it out. Otherwise you'll need to de-register your phone number using an official Apple website.

If that at all applies to you. I just recently got a call from a female cousin that was having issues too since washing her iPhone in the washer and not has an Android until she can recover from that.

Or is iMessage only related to MMS and not SMS? That's where I might be all wrong and I take back all that I've said
