Switched iPhone 3G to 4

Now all my contacts are messed up.

All incoming calls/texts from the iPhone 4 have a +1 or 1 in front of the regular number.

My 3G accepted whatever and was able to read the contacts.

Is there a way to put +1 automatically in front of all my contacts or something?
