I use a 2019 15" MacBook Pro base model 2.6/16/256/6-CORE with a LG UltraFine 4K display I bought from the Apple store.

I've been using a non-Apple branded mouse, and an Apple Keyboard with my setup. I have a Magic Trackpad as a secondary cursor tool.

But yesterday my mouse stopped working, so I basically had to use my Magic Trackpad, and I love using it full time.

How does Apple make their Trackpads so good? Mouse has traditionally been the way to go, and trackpads were meh.

But the Magic Trackpad works really great for my needs. It's smooth, and comfortable.

I would argue it is more comfortable than even the mouse I had been using.

The Magic Trackpad is a great device. I find it much easier to use than the Magic Mouse.

Yes! I've bought two magic mouse but I think they broke. I never really loved them like I do my other apple products and accessories.

I was using a traditional old school mouse for the longest time. Big, rounded, right click, left click, scroll wheel.

But I really do think the magic trackpad is more comfortable, which to me blows my mind.

What's kinda said is that I've had it for so long sitting on my desk, but never discovered how great it is until now 😂

Apple’s trackpads have been great for many years already. Once you master all the gestures they become really useful.

I've had a Magic KB/Trackpad for awhile for my setup with my 2016 13" MBP (into a 27" LG 4K monitor), but didn't really use it that much for personal use. At work, I had a PC setup with KB / mouse.

Since March, working from home for last 7 months during COVID, my MBP has been my work computer 10hrs a day, M-F. Honestly, I love the trackpad too - works super smooth, and I've never missed having a mouse. Part of it may be that my work doesn't involve any "precise mouse movements" that I imagine a mouse would be better than a trackpad for - but given that, I don't deal with any of the drawbacks!
