I finally got my brother to switch to a Mac. I'm setting everything for him, but I want to know what will happen when I plug his iPhone into his iMac. Will iTunes download all the apps off of his phone or will it delete everything from the phone? I've transfered all his music into itunes on the Mac. Can I just go to the iTunes folder on his PC and copy the apps folder to the Mac iTunes folder?

Everything is deleted i believe. Authorize his account with itunes. To do this go to iTunes > Store > Authorize Computer. Once authorized, under Store > Check for downloads. Hope this helps. There also many programs to bring data from a device to a mac. Good Luck

OH SORRY. didn't catch your last part. Yes you can drag and drop (the files are the same) but the backup data will not transfer with that, unless there is a folder within the itunes folder that holds app backup data
