just throwing something out there, but maybe a 'switcher' forum would be a good idea so that all enquiries about relating old windows things to new mac things would be stored in a single forum, searchable etc. for those switchers to use

interesting?
 
Except most people don't run a search to see if their question has already been answered so I can't see the advantage of yet another forum to add to this one:

new to mac? or just need help? post here...

We now also have the Guides and there are plenty of resources already out there for switchers, namely:

Another forum would only confuse the issue and lead to even more double posts

I *think* there was a switcher forum many moons ago (back when Apple were actually running the 'switch' campaign), it wasn't very successful, and so didn't stay around long. Can't see it coming back to be honest.
 
One forum area that we may want is a windows forums. I know its bad:eek: but we do get some questions asked about windows in different places
