Hi all,

I just got one of the new mac minis from a Windows based machine. What I'm looking to do is upgrade my iPad1 to the new iOS. But it's saying that all apps will be deleted in order to update.

The problem comes in where I can't seem to sync all the apps on my iPad to iTunes because it doesn't see this as the owner's iTunes install. I did the "Transfer purchases" in iTunes, but if I look in the Apps pane, many of them are not checked and if I select "Sync Apps" it says it will delete the apps and only install the checked apps.

So, it's sort of a two part question.

How might I get the apps transferred to this iTunes so that I can upgrade and then restore all my apps?

How do I make this new iTunes on the mac the iPad's "home"?
