I will be traveling soon after the iPhone4 is released. Assuming that it is not jailbroken at that point (or assuming that jailbroken i4 cannot be tethered without paying AT&T's monthly fees) can I easily switch back and forth between my 3G when I want to tether and the new iphone (all other times?)

Is it as simple as taking the micro-sim out of the new iphone and putting it (plus adapter) into the 3G? Or do I have to use iTunes each time to set everything up?

If it's anything like the situation before iPhone 4, you shouldn't have any problems. Your music and other content won't be transferred, but you will have your cell details intact.

AT&T have really gotta pull their act together. I've been tethering since September (i live in Australia), with no extra monthly fees at all.
