A week ago my wife bought me a 64GB Black Wifi iPad for our anniversary, and while I like everything about it, I have to say I would have preferred a white unit. So I went to the local Apple store and they were good enough to swap it for me, since I was still within the first 14 days of purchase. I also bought Applecare+ for the new unit while I was there.
I have no complaints, had great customer service, and I just wanted to post this in case anyone else is in the same situation.
