I'm currently running Snow Leopard and I'm mid-way through cutting a film. I've been having a lot of problems with encoding RED footage on my machine. I never had these problems with Leopard, so I'd like to buy a new hard drive and install Leopard on it.

My footage is on an internal software 2x1tb RAID 0 that i configured in Snow Leopard. i'd like to know if swapping out my boot disk can potentially damage this RAID volume.

thanks
