Hey guys,

I’ve only ever used Verizon so am clueless when it comes to switching carriers and have a few questions.

1) If I switch to T-Mobile, is there any reason I wouldn’t be able to get the new iPhone at launch? I am on the iPhone Upgrade Program through Apple

2) Has anyone else made the switch from Verizon to T-Mobile? If so, how has it been?

3) Once we switch, does that deactivate my Verizon account or do I need to do anything else after T-Mobile switches me over?

4) Will cellular plan for my Apple Watch update when my phone does, or will I need to do something extra to update my Watch to the new plan?

1) No reason at all. The Apple program is entirely separate from your carrier.

2) No, but I made the switch from Sprint to T-Mobile 3.5 years ago. It's been great.

3) It depends. Are you porting out all your lines or leaving some? If all, then the act of porting will cancel your service. Otherwise, if you leave a line or two there it will continue.

4) Not sure, but I know you need some another line or special addition to your plan for a watch on T-Mobile. You should let them know you're bringing it over.

2)This past weekend I actually just switched from Verizon to T-Mobile and I love it. Much more affordable bill. The amount I pay for four lines with T-Mobile is almost $150.00 less than Verizon with the same amount of lines.
3)Once I brought over my lines from Verizon it instantly cancelled my lines with Verizon. I made sure I jotted down the numbers associated with my Apple Watch and iPad so that everything was cancelled.
4)I used my Apple Watch that I had with Verizon was able to activate it on T-Mobile with no issue. It is the same fee a month that is $10.00.
