I switched from ATT to VZW a couple days ago. At the beginning the VZW rep added a second line, apparently until the port was complete. Today I turned off the ATT SIM as the port appears to be complete and I could make calls on VZW.

Tonight I was trying to get a verification text message from my bank and it wasn’t coming through. I turned the ATT SIM back on and a bunch of missing texts from all day came though all at once. I was getting iMessages only apparently.

Any thoughts on what I need to do to fix this? Is it something I can fix, or do I need to call the carrier? Is so, which one?

It does not appear that your number port from AT&T to Verizon is complete.

The Verizon rep added a second line so you could make outgoing calls on Verizon while port was still in-process. Until you or someone else can call your primary number and have it ring thru on your Verizon eSIM, the port is not complete.

Ensure that only the new SIM is turned on.
Restart the phone.

Thanks. It appears ATT has not ported my number yet I guess. One of our phones took minutes, mine has been days😞

Call Verizon and check on the status of your Port request. The rep might have screwed up the process. It should only take 24-48 hours to complete the port. Did you provide the correct AT&T PIN?

You can also check by logging into your Verizon account via the Verizon app and navigate to the Port section to check the status of your port.

Yeah, apparently the account number online was different than what they needed. But Verizon called ATT while I was in the line and got the account number

Thanks for all the help. I called Verizon and apparently they had my line set to transfer to a different phone and it was waiting for that phone to be turned on to activate. They push the activation through to the correct phone and now it seems to be working good.
