Switching Carriers + Trade-In?

So quick question... want to take advantage of the trade-in for our 5's, but we're also looking at switching from ATT to Verizon (reception at home sucks with ATT, great with my work Verizon iPhone).

Will Verizon take ATT phones, does anyone know? Or would it better to wait until the Apple stores get fresh stock and just do the purchase/trade-in there?

I just traded in an ATT iphone 4 after my 6+ purchase on Apple.

Consider T-Mobile as well. WiFi calling and seamless hand off to LTE makes it really good, in my opinion. I just switched and found the call quality much improved over the AT&T service. Even my wife's 5s now sounds better, too.

We are both very happy. Oh, yeah. We live in Chicago burbs.
