I am on T-Mobile currently. Will be switching to Verizon towards the end of the year as a new tower is being installed nearby.

the last couple of years there is no difference in phone connectivity inside the phones (GSM vs CDMA).

Does 5G change that at all? Just want to make sure the iPhone 12 I’m about to buy and click the little T-Mobile box will transfer to Verizon without issue.

thanks for any help.

That's correct. But did you see the awesome deals Verizon has going on right now for people who switch?

And, I’ve been looking. It’s tough to keep track at the moment. What I see on the Apple site is around 550 for my wife’s iPhone X trade in. But, if you just do BYOD to Verizon they give you 450 per line anyways. Which seems like they are only paying 100 for the actual phone. I’m on the IUP for my line which adds another wrinkle of confusion. Lol
