hey guys, so i just bought a thunderbolt display to hookup to my macbookpro retina. im running an animation app called maya and its "rooting" itself onto the macbook. in other words, i cant move the application to the thunderbolt, only the main window. the pulldown menus, etc are all anchored to the macbook and its causing issues. is there a way to make the thunderbolt the main window? sort of how you can do in windows with dual monitors. you can choose where the main startup bar, etc is placed. i need to use the macbook as a seperate window and not clone. hope that makes sense. thanks for the help y'all.

I'm kind of amazed that you know how to work with animation in Maya but didn't know how to manage a second display. How does that happen? :p
