Hi. I have a previously used iphone and would like to use it. Is there anyway to get service on to the phone without having to go through at&t. I do own a blackjack with at&t service. I tried swapping out sim cards and that didnt work either. Any ideas? Thanks

Probably need a sim card from the carrier that it was originally on... i remember when AT&T bought out cingular, there was a sim card change... besides that, no clue

Are you asking about the original iPhone or the iPhone 3G?

The original iPhone had to be paired with the SIM during iTunes activation so you will need to use iTunes to activate or "Unlock" the iPhone and then you can use any SIM. This would allow you to reuse your existing AT&T SIM.

Why do you not want to call AT&T? If you are trying to avoid a contract and the data plan then you will need to "Unlock" the phone. If you don't currently have a data plan on your BlackJack, be very careful or you will get a very lage bill very quickly.

Give us more information and you will get specific details / options
