I have been writing music for Dolby Atmos but was only able to 'taste' commercial mixes when I used OCLP to take my 5,1 to Menetery.
Now Atmos support is even better in Ventura I tried to take the 5,1 to Ventura but had problems because it would not work with the RX580 I use in this machine. It booted into Ventura with an old graphics card but could not even t=run a video in Pro Tools.
My studio is based around an RME Raydat PCIe which I do not wish to change. So when my work gave me a MacBook M1 Pro I realised I needed to make the jump and leave the 5,1 behind.
At my work place we have all out 'trash can' Macs and Mac mini's housed in Sonnettech housings. It turns out they also make PCIe housings and docks.
I made a couple of videos showing what I found.
They also make a Thunderbolt dock with 2x NVMe slots which are bootable from. This is the way!
