I am switching from Verizon tomorrow. I am getting an iPhone obviously but my wife just wants a regular phone...

I see the Family plans for iPhone 3G... do these apply just the same if I get a 3G and a regular phone the same as if I bought 2 3Gs? Please help me if you know the answer to this...

I would like to know the differences between the 2 options if there are any. Thanks in advance!

Its easiest to ignore the "iPhone" family plans. Just look at the regular AT&T family plans and add $30 for each iPhone.
