Switching Hard Drives Question

I have upgraded my MacBook Pro late 2008 model hard drive to a 500GB. Is there any problem with taking my 250gb hard drive that came out of that computer and putting it directly into my MacBook 2.0 late 2008 version? Would I need to reformat it or anything?

Since it's pretty easy to change the drive in the Macbook, i would just give it a try. The worst thing that may happen is you are missing some drivers but I doubt it will be you case, since both are late 2008.
