I have to take my black iphone to the apple store to get replaced under warranty, is their any way they could give you a white one or do they have to give you the black one since thats what your ordered, the actual product is the same...I dont know if anyone has tired this, or the success rate ?

Unfortunately, I'd assume they would only "change colors" if you're within the 14-day return period. Otherwise, you're out of luck with standard repairs.

Last trip I made to the Apple Store to buy a Kensington Battery Pack & Charger (nice item by the way) for my 3G iPhone, the person in front of me had a software glitch and asked the Genius for a color switch at the same time and the Genius must have been in a good mood, b/c the 3G Black replaced the 3G White in about 10 minutes...
