Hi I am about to get a macbook but I have all of my files on a pc. Could someone tell me how I would transfer all of my music from my Pc to Mac?

rather than ipod transfer, if you have an external -- copy the "iTunes" folder from your PC.

Replace it in the "Music" folder in your user's home directory. The program may be different, but the files themselves are the same.

iTunes/
-this directory contains:
-Library Files
-Artwork Folder
-Music Folder

iTunes/iTunes Music/
-this directory contains:
-all your music (assuming you've allowed iTunes to copy all music to it's library)

Open iTunes on the mac, and it will prompt you for some things, tell it not to search for music -- it will already be there. Once it opens, it will read the library file in it's default location (HDD/users/yourname/Music/iTunes)

It should all be as you left it on the Pc, all songs, playlists, everything.

I thought there were differences between the Mac library and the PC library. Not 100% sure on this though.
