I'd like to replace my current MacBook with a new 13" MacBook Pro, and to make the transition as painless as possible, I thought I'd swap the upgraded 250 GB drive from my MacBook with the stock 160GB drive in the MBP. Both have Snow Leopard.

Would this be a problem? Are there hidden settings for drivers and what not that I might be missing?

Don't think just "swapping" is a good idea. You should probably reformat the drives and reinstall OS X on each one.
