iPod touch Switching Nike+ Accounts?

I would love to start running with a Nike+ kit this summer. If I bought the kit right now, and ran with the iPod nano, could I transfer my running account with all of my runs if Nike+ came out for the iPod touch? That would be IF the kit came out for the iPod touch.

You can use any compatible iPod with your Nike+.
Your Nike+ username stays constant no matter what iPod or nike+ sport band you use.
