Switching off Calendar reminders

I want to sync my Work Outlook Calendar but don't want the reminders to go off on the iPhone. Is there a way to disable reminders on the iPhone so my Outlook on the PC reminds me but my iPhone doesn't. I don't want duplicate reminders.

On your iPhone, go to Settings -> Sounds and turn off "Calendar Alerts". I don't think this disables the calendar alerts, it just means that there will be no sound when a calendar alert appears.

I'm not sure if you can completely disable calendar alerts.

Also, since you said this is for your work Outlook calendar, you can turn off the "New Invitation Alerts" by going to Settings -> Mail, Contacts, Calendar and turn off "New Invitation Alert".
