I have a factory unlocked 3GS 32gig iPhone. I travel a lot on business and often cover 5 countries in as many days.

When I switch network sims the phone always displays the 'connect to iTunes' screen and I have to go through the restore from backup before it will accept the different network sim.

Is there any way to make the phone 'remember' that it is unlocked and not require connecting to iTunes on each sim change. I sync the phone with my home PC so it is not practicable to have to sync it with my notebook when travelling.

I did have an unlocked 3G and switching sims was never a problem as whenever the new sim was inserted it immediatly recognised the new network.

Thanks in advance for any suggestions.
