hello

my md has requested a replacement iphone from BT, old one was faulty. the md wants me to assure them they will not lose any text messages\contact\photos when the phones are switched. i assume photos will be controlled using itunes but i am unsure about texts. i dont have an iphone myself so can anyone here help me to work out where the texts are stored, if its on the sim fine, if not i need to move them off. any tips would be greatly appreciated.

cheers

Text messages are usually backed up by iTunes. If you want to back them up manually, they are located in User -> Library -> SMS -> sms.db. You can either use an sftp client or if your phone is jail broken, there is an app in cydia.
