Alright, I'm sure many of you are using Chrome or Firefox and in those browsers pressing Command+(any number) will switch to the corresponding tab. However in Safari Command+(any number) will load the corresponding bookmark in the bookmarks bar.

Is there any way to fix this with an extension or tweak?

In Safari:
Command+Shift+right arrow = next tab
Command+Shift+left arrow = previous tab

I know those are the shortcuts for Safari but I want the Command+Number keyboard combo like Chrome and Firefox use. Sadly it is not an option in the default prefs.

- For that functionality, Ctrl+Tab and Ctrl+Shift+Tab is much easier..
What's more, Command+Shift+arrows has a different function while typing text (like this post).

I don't, however, know of a way to do what you seek, Reaktor5.

Yes, there are several shortcuts for switching tabs.
