Switching to 3G on iOS4

I have noticed with iOS4 (and it happened rarely with the earlier OSs).. when I point to change to 3G from edge.. it shows it saying 'ON'.. but then nothing happens. So I go back and look, and it says 'OFF.' It isn't registering my change sometimes.. has anyone else had a problem with this?

I've noticed this on mine as well. It's only done it a few times as its not consistent.
