Switching to iPhone 4s data plan

I will be using the iPhone 4s that my mom purchase with her upgrade. If I call ATT and have them switch IMEI numbers and add the iphone 4s data plan to my account, will that reset my upgrade eligibility?

It's no problem... this is called an Upgrade swap, and it's really easy to do...

Just contact AT&T or log into your wireless account on AT&T's website...

You're upgrade will not be affect at all... only the line the iPhone 4s was purchased on.

Like others said, it won't. It only will if you actually purchased with your account. Replacing your current phone with another phone that was purchased elsewhere (another acct) doesn't affect your upgrade eligibility.
