"Switching to reserve power" message appears at 25%...

Hey all

A few days ago I noticed that I am receiving this message:

when my battery falls below 25%.

This is strange as it always used to appear at around 6-8%

Any idea why I am receiving this message sooner instead of later?

Running snow leopard but I assume that makes no difference. Oh, and the computer does not go to sleep in a few minutes as it says, thank god.
